On September 21, the Program organized the first Stakeholder Conference at the Faculty of Education in Pristina with the aim of introducing the Program to all interested parties. The conference begun with opening remarks by USAID’s Mission Director, James Hope, and the Advisor to the Minister of Education, Fatmir Bytyqi. It was followed by several presentations by ASSET staff that introduced the Program’s objectives and main activities for Year 1, as well as the Program’s alignment with the Kosovo Curriculum. In the afternoon, ASSET international experts led small working groups of teachers from the partner schools to identify how Program activities can be integrated into the school syllabus and provided ideas for cross-curricular projects. Over 100 participants attended, including USAID representatives, MEST representatives, MED representatives, School Directors and teachers from partner schools, international and local NGOs, Donor representatives, businesses and implementing partners.
